‘Dividida Sin Ruido’
This work explores a quieter form of division—one that exists internally rather than outwardly. The portrait is split between two visual languages: one more restrained and grounded, the other more fragmented and abstract. Rather than opposing each other, both states coexist within the same figure, suggesting a tension that doesn’t resolve but continues to exist simultaneously.
The use of black and white reinforces this sense of contrast while allowing space for subtle shifts in tone, texture, and mark-making. Elements of text and line move across the surface like passing thoughts, interrupting and connecting the image at the same time.
My work relies on visual restraint—limiting imagery and color so that emotional and psychological weight can surface through quiet moments rather than excess.
