‘Misalignment Study I’

Misalignment Study I examines the instability of a self assembled from multiple roles, routines, and identities. While each fragment is recognizable and inherently “mine,” their accumulation does not guarantee coherence. Instead, the figure emerges as a near-likeness—an image that resembles a self without fully inhabiting it.

The work reflects the quiet tension between participation and intention: the difference between living through parts of oneself and consciously integrating them. In this misalignment, a subtle dissonance persists—one that is felt more than seen.
